China remains the world’s largest market for EV. In 2024 alone, Chinese consumers purchased over 10 million EVs, accounting for nearly 60% of global EV sales.

When it comes to EV sales ranking, names like Tesla and BYD often dominate the conversation. But this year, the landscape has shifted in a surprising way. In February 2025, a new contender emerged to claim the top spot: Xiaopeng

Xiaopeng’s latest model, the Mona M03, took the market by storm, selling over 15,000 units in just one month. This impressive feat not only solidified its position as the best-selling EV in China for February but also signaled a potential shift in consumer preferences.

The Mona M03 has quickly gained popularity in China’s competitive EV market, with two standout models leading the charge:

  • MONA M03 515 Long Range Edition: Priced at $25,160 AUD (119,800 RMB).

  • MONA M03 620 Ultra Long Range Edition: Priced at $27,260 AUD (129,800 RMB).

These models offer exceptional value and performance, catering to the growing demand for affordable yet high-quality electric vehicles in China’s booming EV market.

The Most Attractive Car in Its Class

The Xiaopeng MONA M03 expertly captures the aesthetic preferences and lifestyles of young users. Designed with AI-driven aesthetic principles, it has been crafted as the "Ultimate Alternative to the Model 3". Combining the sleek posture of a pure coupe with a harmonious balance of beauty and practicality, the MONA M03 sets a new standard for modern electric vehicles.

World-leading Drag Coefficient
The Xiaopeng MONA M03 incorporates design elements typically found in luxury cars and even sports cars, surpassing its class. The vehicle features a dynamic, low-slung stance, paired with an ultra-low center of gravity at 479mm and large alloy wheels, creating a poised and ready-to-launch presence. The body adopts the golden ratio of a sports coupe and boasts a world-leading drag coefficient of Cd 0.194, which enhances its driving range by up to 60 km.

With an ultra-long range of 620 km, the MONA M03 is more than capable of meeting the daily demands of an Uber driver. Additionally, iEV’s best-selling 22kW wall charger can fully recharge the battery in just 8 hours, making it a practical and convenient choice for everyday use.

Magic Space Cabin

The cabin features a magic space design, ingeniously balancing both passenger comfort and storage needs. It offers two adjustable modes: a comfortable front passenger seat and a spacious rear seat, with a one-touch switch to maximize the 7:3 space distribution, expanding the comfort zone. For young "Peng" friends who love outdoor activities, the 621L trunk can be expanded to 1603L when needed, easily accommodating skateboards, tents, and camping gear. Combined with a wide 1136mm opening, loading and unloading items is easy.

On 16th December 2024, XPENG, in collaboration with its exclusive importer, distributor, and retailer TrueEV, hosted a special event to celebrate the official launch of XPENG Australia and the grand opening of the XPENG Center Sydney.

XPENG has ambitious plans for the Australian market, aiming to introduce a five-model lineup by the end of 2026 and achieve 25,000 sales in the 2027 calendar year. With such exciting developments, we can’t wait to see the Mona M03 hitting Australian roads soon!
