Are iEV Chargers and Accessories EV Charging Products compliant with Australian standards?
Yes, iEV Chargers and Accessories home Wall Charger is fully compliant with Australian standards, including IEC61851, IEC62196, and AS/NZS60335.1:2011 cl30.2, ensuring safety and reliability in every installation.
Is iEV Chargers and Accessories a local company?
Yes, iEV Chargers and Accessories (ABN: 22 671 747 925) is proudly based in Queensland. We are committed to supporting our local community while offering high-quality charging solutions. All our products are backed by comprehensive public liability insurance, ensuring both reliability and peace of mind.
Are iEV Chargers and Accessories home EV Wall Charger compatible with my Electric Vehicle?
Yes, iEV Chargers and Accessories home Wall Charger is compatible with the majority of electric vehicles in the Australian market, as long as the vehicle uses a Type 2 charging interface. This includes popular models like Tesla, BYD, MG, and other plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) currently available.
What is the installation cost?
The installation cost for an iEV Chargers and Accessories home Wall Charger can vary based on several factors, including the distance between the EV charger and the switch box, the condition of the switch box, and other site-specific considerations. For example, if the EV Wall charger is installed directly behind or near a switch box that is in good condition and has ample space for an additional breaker, the cost may be under $1,000.
iEV Chargers and Accessories has a network of nationwide certified installers who can provide you with a quote and consultation for the best installation method. Customers can contact these installers directly for more details.
What is your shipping and return policy?
Shipping:
All iEV Chargers and Accessories products are shipped from our Brisbane warehouse. Orders over $200 are shipped free of charge. Delivery to capital cities typically takes 2-4 business days, and priority shipping is available upon request for urgent orders.
Returns:
Items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are in their original, unused condition and packaging. Please contact us to initiate the return process.
How much power can I get from iEV Chargers and Accessories home Wall Charger?
iEV Chargers and Accessories home Wall Charger is designed to deliver up to 22kW of power at 32A across 3 phases, which is more than most electric vehicles can utilise.
For instance, a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y can draw a maximum of 11kW. Having a higher-capacity charger provides future-proofing for new EV models that may require more power. If you do not have a 3-phase power supply, the iEV Chargers and Accessories charger can also operate on a single phase or dual-phase, delivering 7kW or 14kW, respectively.
What is the most economical way to charge an Electric Vehicle (EV)?
Many electricity providers offer EV-specific plans with rates as low as $0.08 per kWh during off-peak hours (typically from midnight to 6 a.m.). This means it could cost around $4 to fully charge a Tesla Model Y from 0% to 100%. Utilising these off-peak rates is often the most cost-effective way to charge your electric vehicle.

Can charging an Electric Vehicle (EV) with a solar panel system help save money?
While a solar panel system can contribute to charging an EV, most systems may not provide enough power consistently. For example, a 6kW solar system may generate only 4-5kW on a sunny day for a few hours. Given the availability of low-cost EV plans from electricity providers, it is often more economical to charge your vehicle using these plans rather than relying solely on solar power, which is only available during daylight hours.
